eTip #23
On Rowing Your Boat
As a child did you sing, "Row, Row, Row Your
Boat?" Dr. Lloyd Thomas suggests we revisit the adult version.
"Row, row, row": Persist in the effort
to move forward in your life.
"Fail forward": See life as your boat which moves you
ahead as you are, keeping you afloat and safe in this very insecure
world.
Do you enjoy being you? Do you value your uniqueness?
Let go of the struggle occasionally, and go "down the stream"
. . . gently.
"Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily": focus on the joy
of being alive.
EXTRA: “Your attitude, your outlook, your
commitments, your thoughts and your actions are all choices---choices
that can make a tremendous difference in the way your life proceeds.”
